It's not as good as riding to Daytona for Bike Week, but at least you get to stay home and see some of the kind of motorcycles that are on the streets in Florida.

It looks like it was a good show with some interesting ideas. Whoever owns the one in #2 will lead an interesting life! ;)

For this show, the trick was to move the point of view low enough to get a clear shot underneath the Tensabarrier belts that were used to separate spectators from motorcycles. That meant dropping the camera lower than usual, down to fender level, to peek under the belts and get them out of the frame. It took a few more shots than usual to get the framing right, but it eventually worked.

The camera was a Canon XTi and the lens was an 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS. Everything operated on program AE. It was used handheld, with the camera set at ISO 800 to get usable shutter speed, and 2/3-stop exposure compensation dialed in because this unit wants to underexpose.
