Running PS Actions

Hello

As a Photoshop newbee im having trouble running the LinearSharpen action. I have copied the action file into the actions library, opened a linear 16-bit .Tiff in photoshop and loaded the action so i can see all the optional action. When im marking the action i what to run (convert(normal sharpening) for example) and press "Play" something is happening so something is working. But the image remains dark like before, if i run the action several times i end up whith some defects due to the sharpening i think.

Why does´nt the image get any brighteer?????

Jens,

I would check that you have not inadvertently toggled any steps off. In the Actions Palette, check that the lefthand column has black not red check marks against all the actions.
