Took these outside today with my 135mm/2.0. A few of you had asked to see what I could do with it..... so here you are.

WOW.
That's an amazing lens. Top to bottom, excellent image quality. You can clearly make out the reflection in his eyes.
Cute boy.
You and Skip have posted pictures of your grandson before but I never realized till now how fair skinned he is. I hope you slather him in sun block in the summer. :-) :-)

She'll need a more substantial tripod to properly hold the 70-200 f/2.8 L IS that is also on her Christmas list.

Great shots Maureen, all of them. Your grandson is so cute. I'm sure he'll be "front and center" often, and rightly so.

No others so he is truly the spoiled one.
However, that 70-200 lens is Skip's idea, not mine. I was thinking we ought to go 100-400 and share it. What do you think?? I am still only asking Santa for the tripod:lol:

Between the two lenses, I'd go for the 70-200. Dont' get me wrong, I like my 100-400 but it is a little more unwieldy than the 70-200. I've seldom taken a shot with the 70-200 without thinking, "Damn....:-)!!!" but I'm sure before too long, we'll be reading a post saying you and Skip have bought both. :D

Well, at least we know you aren't a dentist.
The teeth you're referring to are cuspids (or canines). The bicuspids are on either side working toward the back of the mouth and cannot be seen on the young squire. :-)
cheers
