I have and love my Domke f-2. It's a bottomless pit and holds everything. But sometimes I find myself just wanting my camera with lens attached and maybe one more lens and flash. I don't always want to take all my gear. I usually have my 17-55 attached and would like to be able to throw in the 50mm or the 85mm along with my 430ex flash. I was looking at the Domke f-5xc but it doesn't look like that will hold a T1i gripped. Any recommendations in the Domke line? I will look at other brands but first choice is the Domke since I'm so thrilled with the f-2. Thanks!

Thanks mufutau. That might just be the thing. Since you suggested it I searched and found some reviews here. At first I was concerned it wasn't that much smaller than my f-2 but several comments have lead me to believe it is. The f-2 is just a little big to walk into some events and houses. This looks better and I'll have the f-2 for photo outings and travel. I kept looking at the messenger style but I think this shape seems better for the gripped T1i. Thanks!

I've got a Domke F-9 (which I've been meaning to put up a review for). If the 17-55 IS is close to the size of my Sigma 18-50, you can definitely fit the 50 1.4 in as well. The 85 might be a tight squeeze.
EDIT: And I just reread what you said and realized that your T1i is gripped. Maybe not then. :p

I recommend too recommend the Domke F-3X (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=822341). Great bag!

Ok I ordered the Domke F-3x in the ruggedwear. It'll match my f-2 just smaller. I hope I'm all set now. Thanks for the advice and suggestions.

F-3x.. It CAN carry a lot, but it carries a body, couple of lens and flash very easily and doesn't feel big at all.
**I see you already ordered it. Mine is Sand canvas.. I haven't decided which finish I like better yet.

Thanks John, that's what I hoped to hear. A body, couple of lenses and a flash in a bag that doesn't look big. When I'm taking the camera to dinner for a birthday or to someones home, etc, I'd like to keep it a little smaller than the f-2. Now when I'm on a trip or picture taking outing the f-2 is wonderful. I stuck with the ruggedwear just because I like the soft feel and the way is squishes and molds to you.

I may find out differently, but I have a feeling if I didn't load the F-2 down it would feel pretty small as well..but this is coming from someone that just now decided I didn't have to carry EVERYTHING with me all the time..lol. I'm down to 4 bags now.. F-2, F-3x, F-stop backpack, and a Pelican 1624 that holds everything.

Oh yeah, I load up the f-2, chargers, filters, everything fits so I take it "just in case". Hopefully with the f-3x I'll have plenty of room for what I actually need for a day trip with a little lighter load. I feel a bag addiction coming.
