300D, hacked firmware and AI Servo

I have a 300D with the UnDutchable firmware.
I know that AI Servo is not properly working, but I noticed I can take a picture in the following way:
- put camera in AI servo
- half press shutter > camera starts AI servo
- fully press shutter > camera keeps on focusing
- press LEFT button > PICTURE IS TAKEN

That is correct - that is the 'workaround' - its awkward - but it does work.........

don't u loose predictive focus this way?
