Australian Motor Racing Series Rnd 5- QLD Raceway (7 pics)

First time shooting circuit racing. When I get the chance again I'll probably shoot things differently to get some more exciting moments but all in all it was a pretty good day. Learnt a lot even if I came back with 300 or so boring shots :p

Canon 350D, Sigma 125-400 5.6 (stuck on 5.6 because of dodgy error 99), EF 50 F/1.8 & 80-200 F/4.5-5.6

re your Sigma Error 99: I had that on a 70-300 f4-5.6, as far as I know it needed 'chipping' by Sigma, costs about £50 in the UK, not sure what that is in Australian Dollars. How old is the lens? If it's older than 2 years then that will almost certainly be the issue. mine did it whenever I tried to go beyond f5.6, in any mode.

Thanks Dave, very light I think, the ferrari made the pass with a few scatches and a little less rubber.

Sigma was only a borrowed lens but I do remember reading something in another thread about rechipping. I've got the option of buying it for a great price so I'm considering it. Not L quality but used wide open at 400 it wasnt that bad at all.

You have got some nice shots! I like the shot of the Lambo. I was out there on Saturday shooting. It was an excellent race meeting with some great cars! I took so many shots I ran out of memory cards. :( I just posted some shots in the Sports forum.
