Night Life photography?

Hello forum!

I'm a new Canon EOS1000D user, and I'm starting to get in to Night Life photography (clubbing, night clubs, bars, etc) ! I'm really getting in to this and enjoying it, I've done a few photos already in some night clubs, but I know I need to get a decent flash/lense, I have a budget of around £600-800, any ideas for a good lense/flash for myself, as a starter?

Any of the speedlite 430 or 520 are fine.

Lens, Sigma 30 1.4 or 50 1.4 on the prime

one of those 17-50 or 17-55 canon/tamron 2.8 for the zoom.

I just did some ISO 6400-12800 no flash with the 15-85 2 weekends ago in a bar and while noisy the results are really satisfying for me.

Fantastic, I shall look carefully, but it all seems pretty solid for nightclub shots =)
