I am going to hit the Nationwide Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway this coming Saturday.
My question is I don't have a big lens and thought this would be the perfect time to rent a lens to play with. The choices I have are:
Sigma 50 - 500mm f/4.0 - 6.3 EX HSM
or
Canon 300mm f/4.0L IS
or
Canon EF 70 - 300mm f/4.5 - 5.6 DO IS
Suggestions?

It is actually the truck series race, not Nationwide...but whatever :)

Do you have access? There is a big tall fence seperating the typical spectators from flying car parts.

No access...didn't even think about the fence...hmmm...maybe I should just go with the gear I have and see what I can make of it...

The safety fence is a killer. I think you can pay for pit access. If that is the case, something around the 28-70mm zoom range would be sweet.
Maybe the roof of an RV in the infield if you can get there. Just don't bring the kids.

Kids aren't coming, but not sure the in-law's will want to pay for pit passes themselves just so I can get some good shots.
I assume taking gear to an event like that is ok? I read all over the website and it said nothing about not allowing cameras and in fact they allow coolers, so come on!
