I don't normally see these birds on fenceposts, but I managed to get one perched and another just taking off..

Very nice, Jim! I like the idea in #2 of keeping the fence post where he took off from in the picture. The way his wings are curled under is awesome.

And thanks five-o for doing the noise filter.. I should be doing this.. I've been shooting at ISO 400 and 800 for so long, that I don't see the noise because I'm used to it :)

I think the bokeh looks good but the poor little bird looks a little plastic now :p Maybe selectively filter the image with something like the noise brush in Noise Ninja or use a non filtered frame as a layer mask in PS where you can paint a little detail back in.
They're both great shots though with or without a little grain:cool:

Well, I'm not going to do all that to someone elses picture that I copied from this forum. Seems a little much don't ya think. I was just playing around with it for a minute. :confused:

Awesome captures Jim! #2 is my favorite as well.
