So I've been looking for a cheapish tripod that will satisfy my desire for long exposure night shots without requiring a nearby wall or car. I've looked through all the £30 ones and decided they seem too flimsy to balance well, especially in the wind etc, so I've upped the price margin a little and found (at the local camera shop, well recommended) a Camlink TPPRO28A. Seems to be selling at around the £60 mark in various stores, having felt it in the shop it seems very sturdy, quite heavy, independantly movable legs and cast alu pivots etc instead of plastic. Replacable head (standard one is a fairly solid plastic, 3 way). Rubber feet can be retracted to expose metal spikes for solid mounting (not sure I understand the point of rubber feet on a tripod?
