This is such a typical New England scene, but I'm afraid a fast disapearing one. The nice old farm house, this one nicely restored, the barns and stone walls all on a narrow winding country road.

Hi stoney, how ya doin'? never know who you are going to meet! Nice shot, and I agree, it's the same here...bricks and motar are quickly taking over. Even the critters don't know where to go.

Thanks for the comment, problem around here is all the farms are being bought up and made into subdivisions of huge, everyone looks the same, houses. they just don't have any charecter. we call them Trophy houses or McMansions, seen one you've seen them all.

I love that scene too..... Sadly, even now a days when I mention "New England", some people don't even know where I am talking about.

Ten years ago, Burlington,VT. had the same population as in 1962. Do you think those frigid winters could have something to do with that?????

Excellent shot, Sandy. Five years from now there will be a Wal-Mart on this site.

Could very well be, The little town we go to, Braintree, VT has about the same population as it had when it was founded back in the 1700 , life moves slow there.

So sad and so true, you're feeling the same crunch in New Hampshire, the old Boston sprawl.

Thanks for the comment.

Very nice shot, Sandy. When New England has disappeared, you will have a record of it.

Is that Vermont? I went on vacation there last year and for some reason that white house looks amazingly familiar, probably wrong though...
