So, today I show some pictures of water falls with trees in the background and when I was all done I copied them all into my epson. I had shot RAW + Large Jpeg and so I was looking through, saw the raw first, then the jpeg next, and realized that the Jpeg's seemed to be... over sharpened(?) compared to the displayed raws. What I mean is in the leafs it looked like.... specs? Edjes seem rough.... compared to the RAW at least. If it weren't for the comparison I don't think I would have ever noticed. The Jpeg's just look like a killed version of my RAWs and I don't understand why this is happening. I'm shooting parameter 2 on my 20D. Would that have anything to do with it? I looked and saturation, sharpness, contrast, all that is at 0 like it's supposed to be....

Thanks for any help.

I think you will find that in the parameter 2 option the camera gives a uncorrected image from the sensor. Jpg compression can give strange results sometimes ,but I have never noticed an image that is oversharp. Try turning down the sharpness to minimum along with the other parameters then do another comparison?

Alright, I'll probably give that a try tomorrow and post the results.
