I took this shot this morning while she was waiting to leave to go to a 4th of July parade. I tried a different processing technique than I normally do and was very happy with the result.

Sure, here is the process I went through:
I shoot in RAW, so the majority of my alterations were done in the first stage. Here are the steps:
Adjust Tab
Temp 3000
Exposure +.85
Shadows 18
Brightness 99
Contrast +32
Saturation -51 (I ended up converting to B&W so this wasn't necessary)
Lens Tab
Vignetting Amount +100
Vignetting Midpoint 10
Once I hit OK, I did the normal curves processing to make it look a little better. Then grabbed the oval marquee and created an oval around her, selected the inverse and feathered by 150 pixels. Also ran it through Neat Image.
Then I adjusted the brightness to +100 and the contrast to -100. That gives it the floating look. The last step was converting to B&W and I used Fred's plugin.
I used a blank white wall as the background.
I used my Canon 20D and my 70-200 2.8 IS lens. ISO800, f4, 1/50, 105mm handheld.
I think I will try this process on some other images and see what happens.
