My boat....experimental

This was taken with the 17mm, using flash and a very long exposure...hanging over the side of my boat and shooting.....the lights in the distance are other boats anchored. I don't really like the way they showed up, but I like the water's appearance... other thoughts on this?

The middle one is nice but the first one is fantastic (and I really like the boat lights even if you don't) as is the fireworks pic!! I really really really like these!!!!

Felix, thanks. Its not a bad boat for nearly 20 years old! :) I've put alot of work into it. Its not in perfect condition, but runs like a champ and pulls like a truck! To answer your question, no I don't water ski anymore.... I haven't put a ski on since I got a wakeboard 4 years ago :) Now, I just wakeboard and wakesurf.

No, I don't have any of me...because I'm always the one with the camera. I had some outstanding shots of a buddy doing rolls & flips & tantrums with my 70-200, but I lost them in a hard drive failure this spring :( I'll see if I have some more somewhere. Do you ride?

I like the last shot the best. The first one is fine. As you know, you are the one who has to like the shot. Frame the picture and put it where people can see it when they come into your house. I have about 10 photographs that I have taken and I keep them around the house in frames. When people come over they look for my photographs to see if I had changed any of them. :)

Thanks Anthony. I have several of my photos framed around the house... I don't think any of these 3 will make the cut though. I was just curious what others thought of them.

That first shot is GREAT!!! Even the shallow DOF works (which kind of suprises me with the subject). Keep up the great shooting.
