While at B&H this weekend, I picked up the Magic Lantern Guides to the 1D Mark II and the 1Ds Mark II (both are in the same book).

I think I've found some errors, but I'm not sure.

For one thing, while in B&H, I played with my 1Ds Mark II's baby brother, the 1D Mark II. I had to ask the salesman (I would be politically correct and say salesperson, but B&H is not politically correct and has no women due to their religious beliefs; though they do have a woman who cleans the bathrooms and two who dole out pretzels and warm soda.) to show me how to put the 1D Mark II in high speed mode, which he did. The sound of that thing firing off 8.5 fps is sweet music indeed. I loved it.

So, back to the book. The book mentions that the 1Ds Mark II also can change the continuous shooting from 3 fps to 5fps. I found no such option.

Also, in an explanation of the custom functions, which enabled me to understand them a little better than the camera manual, it mentions Cf no. 21 as stopping shooting if focus is not achieved by selecting 0, and enabling shooting even if not focused (valuable to photojournalists) by selecting 1. My 1Ds Mark II has no Cf no. 21.

What gives?

Otherwise, I found the book to be $20 well spent. I'm three quarters through in the first day and a half.
