The future of concert stage lighting?

Thought this video was interesting, it's about using nanotechnology to create a new lightbulb, also "quantum dots" to change the color of light. I'm wondering if in time this will be used for stage lighting...

I understand technology changes very quickly, I can't even imagine the type camera my son will be using when he gets to my age...
