I'm trying to find a 16GB Class 10 SDHC to shoot full 1080p hd video on my t2i, and i'm stuck between these two choices. Both are class 10 and have 16Gb storage.

Patriot LX Series 16 GB SDHC Class 10 - $50.00

vs

SanDisk 16GB Extreme SDHC Class 10 - $100.00

So, the Sandisk costs twice as much as the Patriot. Would it make sense to pay the premium fee and going with SanDisk? Are there any benefits (if at all)? Any insight regarding this issue would be much appreciated.

Also, if anyone with can recommend me a card with the same specs, that would also be great. preferably someone who has experience shooting full hd.

I just bought the Patriot on eBay for $50 - 8% bing cashback.
I wouldn't pay double for the sandisk.

what makes you say that? is the performance lacking? any problems shooting 1080p video?

So you have no issues recording 1080p with the patriot?

Curious on how you feel about this card, after a week?

I have a Patriot 8gb class 4 card, but I'd like to get something a little faster for hd movies on the 550D. I can get the LX 16gb for $54, locally, so I might pop in and get one, or might invest in a 32gb of the same series

try looking for a ridata card. i believe the one you are looking for is cheaper than the $50 you have found.

Do the numbers - 1080x1920x30 fps is somewhat less data than a 3.7 fps burst at 5184x3456. If your card's fast enough for stills at sustained burst, it's fast enough for video.
