So I haven’t posted anything here in quite some time but now that I am getting ready for a photo contest I thought I would get some input. I captured some photos at an Airborne Toxic Event a few months back at the Crofoot in Pontiac, MI. The concert was great and this is one of my favorite photos I captured during the evening. This is Noah Harmon the bass player doing what he does best. I have processed the shot with two major variations and then threw in a third less obvious variant. I would like to get your opinion as to which you prefer and then any suggestion (C&C) on how to improve the shot and what you do like.

Thanks For Looking,

Focus is on the bass in both... I'd prefer focus on the face.
Also, lighting isn't great on the face.
Sorry...

Thanks Rene.

In this shot my subject is the bass. Does the photo not portray that? If you look at the bass as the subject does the composition and lighting work? It was an attempt at doing something less common I guess.

Thanks,
Jason

Ah, okay. If the bass is the subject, the focus is okay.

Guess I'm more of a "musicians-portrait" kinda guy ;)
