So i seem to be at ethics cross road, at least in my mind. I suppose if i was a douche i wouldn't care to much and move on.
I plan to start a interior photography business in the coming months as i buy more gear and get more experience. I plan to push it pretty hard in hopes that i can leave my job and just work on it full time.
Now the problem that i have is with the logo. After about of month of brainstorming the name i managed to come up with was "Real View Photography"
This worked well because at least in my mind it seems to go with "real estate" well and would seem to give a client extra thought in the idea that the picture can came out just like the space thats seen. Its rather hard to explain but im open to suggestions if you any of you think its a horrible name.
After all how "real view" is it using a UWL and 7 shot expsure of 1 room =/ Too miss leading?
Anyway.. the logo i figured that would work well, be easy to read and fit well on the side of a truck if i ended up putting it on there for free advertising would be this... (see bottom of post)
Now my problem is that recently i came across a fellow by the name of "Chet V" and wouldn't you know it... his is similar. Well nearly identical. And frankly he came across it first since he is obviously using it
Now with him being in the UK and me being in Canada i still feel rather off about using such a similar thing. Needless to say if i didnt stumble across a picture of his i probably would of stuck with it because it seemed to be the best idea of name/logo that i could come up with. Plus the domain is free on .com and .ca and etc..
I think i started rambling awhile ago but what would you do in your situation. Abandon it and start for scratch? or go ahead since there are probably many other uses of the letter V in the world
Thanks of reading and any opinions
Oh and here is a link to one of his pictures with the logo on the bottom left.
