Took out my old Canon rebel the other day, (remember the kind where you put film into the backside?) and took some shots of summer flowers and Mount Fuji. Please have a look:

Craig,
These are great. I especially like the second one. I was pretty disappointed that Fuji-san was shrouded in clouds the entire time I was in Tokyo last November.

Thanks Chap! Summer is the worst time to get photos of Mount Fuji! It's nearly always hiding in the clouds, or if it does appear, it's very hazy looking.
I'm surprised you couldn't see it in November though. Usually fall is very clear, although Tokyo is pretty far away. Did you get any closer than that?

Craig,
The hazy summer weather worked to your advantage with these.
It was pretty rainy for most of the week I was there. I thought I might catch a glimpse of it from the top of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government building and spent the train ride from Tokyo to Kyoto glued to the window. I was able to see the base, but the peak was lost in the clouds. I'm hoping I'll be able to return when the trail to the peak is open; I just have to convince my boss. :-)
