View Full Version : Prepregnated sensor swabs?

I currently use the excellent sensor cleaning method recommended by Copper Hill Images. This is great when you can carry around a bottle of Eclipse but it's actually illegal to fly with this product even in your hold luggage.

I vaguely remember someone telling me there is such a thing as a pre-pregnated pad.

Is anyone aware of such a thing and do they work.

I'm heading off to photograph in the mountains of northern Pakistan and would like to know if something simple like this exists.

Many thanks

Before going, might I suggest a session with your analyist...you may need a medication adjustment.

Just clean your sensor before hand and don't worry about it. Does your sensor get that dirty, that fast? Mine takes months before I notice anything worth cleaning.

Just take a rocket blower and be done with it. Any other issues just correct in post.

Not sure if they exist though (to your question).

Thanks Invertalon, In answer yes my sensor can get that dirty if I'm changing lenses regularly over a three week intensive shoot. I have a rocket blower which is great (and lightweight which is a bonus for these kind of trips)

Chauncer what was wrong with my post, you sound like my boss.

Just the fact that it seems like an unwise place to visit in today's wartime climate.
