What are you doing on your 4th of July vacation? Well last night coming home from the local fireworks display, we had our own Grand Finale inthe engine compartment. The radiator blew so loudly it scared the daylights out of my wife, and the police officer directing traffic actually ducked! So, I am changing out the rdiator on my day off. Yeah!

Some quick pics:

Cheap, plastic radiators....

So empty in there without the cooling system.

The new one should arrive from Buffalo by about 3:00 PM EST. We'll see if it's on time.

At least it happened while you were in town! I lucked out when a water pump seal let go about 1 mile from home after a 500 mile trip once! ;-)

The buggy is working just fine now: new radiator, fresh fluids and filters, no leaks.

a V6?! wow!I'm not sure what you mean? 3.0L V6 is the only motor available in a Maxima.

This one has been rechipped, performance injectors, sparks, exhaust, and coil over shocks. No exterior changes, including the stock wheels - I prefer the lack of advertisement. I've never had it dyno'd, but I would guess I get another 10-15 bhp from the motor upgrades. I can imagine anymore hp would make it pretty uncomfortable to drive, since torque steer is prevalent in the stock version. Accelerating through a tight turn is definately a two handed affair. In fact, I kind of like the AT in this car, sort of a "stab 'em steer" kind of car. Though I generally prefer to do the shifting myself.

Well there is a 2.0 V6 with 140bhp in it :) No 4 cyl that I've seen :) But I lived in the states when I owned mine ;) Would have been way to expensive to own here :p
