I took these two little beauties through the glass in their enclosures at the Melbourne Zoo, Australia. Was pretty pleased with the way they turned out, seeing it was through glass and all :)

What do you think???

REL

When I read your last post, I wondered where the lizzards were !

I love the color, sharpness and "superman" cape of the 1st shot. You are getting knid of good at this stuff .. ehh Rel ! Listen Rel, no snakes pics please (just a personal phobia). Come to think of it, most animals scare me !

I can tell you one thing Rel. I will never set foot in Australia unless you have cleared the bush in advance.

Thanks Howie - isn't he just fantastic!! He had just started to shed - hence the flaking skin on the belly etc - and the sloughing skin revealed that glorious colouration on his 'cape' and under the chin.

The second dude is a Philippines sail lizard - named for the 'sail' like structures down the top of the lizard. Same deal with these 2 guys as the meercats, sit for a while and they became inquisitive - almost posing for their shots.

I do have some really nice photos of some snakes Howie - a great one of a red bellied black snake rearing up and flattening the back of its head - it was after the same frogs as we were - we just weren't going to eat them !! lol

You are going to have to come to Australia FOR the animals in the bush - the best experience bar none!!
