Slideshow for display on TV? w/ cd-rom

Hello, not sure if i should post this here but....

I need to make a slideshow of pictures for my grandpas 80th bday.... I was wondering if anyone here knows any links/tutorials i can look at to see how this is done (slideshow on a cd?)

Windows Movie Maker- Already installed on your OS and really easy to use (I'm Assuming you have Windows :D).

Is it just me, or do the pictures get blurry when you do this? Ive tried with Nero and Windows Movie Maker to make a slideshow with my pictures, but they always get very blurry when I import them.
