Yeah unfortunately the square does not work in this instance.

I like the composition of the shot. The sepia toning also seems appropriate here.

Sorry, not a fan of the duotone, and the photo itself seems soft?

As an exercise I cropped it again and sharpened it. I think the duotone made the softness more apparent. The colour version did not look as soft.
Thanks for your comments....I learnt something about cropping although I am sure there are still other options in cropping this photo.

If it's mine, I'd apply some sharpening. I'd also put a thin softlight layer to pumpt the contrast some more...but that's just me.

Thanks for the tip....I am just learning about layers now so I will give it a try.
