I wanted to know what you guys think about these?

I was thinking about picking up a couple but couldn't really find any feedback.

I say wait for a better deal. Sandisk is notorious for its super rebates on memory cards which make the prices ridiculously low.

Agreed, wait until Sandisk is putting on their rebates to get the best deal.

other than waiting for the rebates from sandisk but has anyone tried these out on a 7d or even a MKIV?

Sure, I've used a Sandisk 30 mb/s card in a 7D. It works just fine. It's slightly slower than top speed, but not by much. Unless you're a heavy-hitting rapid-fire sports shooter, they will work great!

How do they work for video? Do you drop frames in 1080p/720p?

I have a 8GB Ultra for my 5D, seems to work fine. Keep in mind video is actually not that intense when it comes to transfer rates.

They work excellent! 1080p only requires a 7 to 8 mb/s transfer rate...so 30 mb/s cards are solid.

Wait until 3/11. Costco has $8 off the 8GB one. The final price is $27.99

I just saw the ad for the instant saving.. it's only the SanDisk Ultra (15/MBs), not Extreme (30/MBs)

Costco carries the new Ultra 30MB/s 200x
Btw, extreme III is discontinued so the new Ultra IS the old Extreme III.
