did you have ext. tubes on that lense for the shot? I've got the Sigma 70-300 and never would have gotten that close. Nice pic!!

Thanks. Actually, it's a 3:2 crop of the center of the pic. I've been trying to score an inexpensive ext tube set on Ebay lately, but everyone just bids them up to retail price.

Yeah, me too. People tend to bid everything close to if not over retail. I've been reading some posts lately that have turned me off to the ext. tubes. I'm looking to get a true macro lense now. Just need to figure out which one to get. Happy clicking!
