This is a picture I took in the winter with my PowerShot A70... a rinky dink 3 megapixel, obsolete camera.
I just sat my camera on the ledge and set it to 30 seconds and let it go. I really wasn't expecting much of a shot to be honest but I ended up with this...
Oh, and I'm just posting a link instead of the picture because it's semi large (1220 x 800) since I use it for my laptop wallpaper.

As you can see, there's some grainy spots (the mist) and what not... I really didn't know anything about ISO settings or anything. I just knew that I needed a longer shutter time to capture the lights in the dark.
