I got this lens used as a part of my quest for the Tamron 17-35 (awesome) and an Elan 7 (photo addiction). I really had not had a chance to use it until this weekend when a friend and I went to Castle Rock to shoot pics. I ended up using the Tokina with my 25mm extension tube on the 10D most of the day. I have to admit, it was a decent combo.

I think some of the images could have been sharper, I was shooting at around F8 with decent shutter speeds, so I am wondering if the extension tube really messes with the DOF or is the lens a softer lens. Either way, it was a fun day of taking pics and getting busted chimping by another photog out hiking like we were. I have done no post processing, just sharpening in C1 pro and resizing in PS.

Haven't seem this lens before. Be interesting to see a few shots without the tubes. Looks like it could be a decent option but depends on price. There is some really good competition around.
