"Beco de Batman" or Batman Alley is reserved for GRAFITTI in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Here is a small sample of what is there.....

Welcome Jim to POTN and especially to UL&T forum. :)
This looks like a very vivid alley - even without people. Thanks for sharing. Any possibilities to shoot the painters in their work?

I have never seen the painters, but I don't pass by regularly. I believe that even thought it is an accepted traditional area, they do their work at odd hours to avoid conflicts since they are usually painting over someone elses masterpiece. (Would Picasso like someone painting over the Guernica Mural?) I don't think there would be any problem for a third party to take pictures as long as their faces don't show, but better to ask first. These same guys also do their stuff in non-PC places.
I would like your opinion: Is it better to present these works in a natural setting? As the first illustratres with my car purposely left visible ___or the concentrated on the work itself? As illustrated the second which is a panorama composed of three photos and adjusted for perspective.

I like them both. For me they serve different purposes: to see the environment where the graffiti has been painted (this is probably closer to the 'spirit' of UL&T forum) and secondly the artwork itself.

Thanks for the feedback. My goal as a serious amateur is to build up my skill set and take respectable, interesting pictures based mostly on composition and subject content rather than extreme technical input. I really don't want to compete with some the obviously super-competent pros around for the "BEST" picture.
On the other hand if someone thinks that one of my picture can be improved in some way (even if subjective) I want to take advantage of their experience. Also, if it is just a bad picture, just say so and why (without being insulting) I am a big boy now and can take it.
Here are a couple of more From Batman Alley.

I agree with Olli, they do serve different purposes. Depending on your intent and feeling your trying to convey will structure the framing - nice work.
