I'm trying to come up with a cover shot for my friend's modeling portfolio. How does this look?

Overall an effective image. I'm not sold on the background, however. I think there are a lot of backgrounds you could layer in that would be more effective than this one.
Also, a small nit-pik:
There is a very small light spot (reflection) on her upper lip. I would clone that out. It is in the very middle of her upper lip - on the very bottom of the lip. It's a tiny, round light spot, with a small, light shadow right next to it. I would clone it out to blend it into either the shadow to it's right (viewer's perspective) or to blend it with the mid-tone to it's left.
Also, there are a few hairs that are throwing reflected light back at the camera. Not a big deal, but they do somewhat distract. The reflection causes the viewer's attention to be on individual hairs, which is never good in a shot of this type.
