The second photo is probably your best, as the horizon is very level, and it really shows off how steep the road is, which is pretty interesting. Though, that trash can isn't that attractive.

However, there's really nothing interesting that draws the eye in any of these photos, even in the second. Compositionally I feel as though these are lacking. In the first, it bothers me that the hair is messed up, but not messed up in a deliberate way meant to evoke emotions of freedom and carelessness, just messed up like no one thought about it or how it would appear on film. And she's off center, which is good, but she's only so slightly off center that I actually would prefer her to be centered.

In the last, I see an opportunity to look for lines and patterns, but it doesn't seem as though any attempt was made. What that little statue sitting on that pedestal? It looks like it might be interesting, but I can't see much of it, and it's not in a place that really draws the eye.

I would go back to that bathroom and experiment more.

Here's another.

For the record, these are sort of throwaway shots that I liked a little bit (enough to post).

That would be really cool if you underexposed it a bit more and put a person in that square. Maybe reposition that bird cage (if that's what it is) to get more of it in. Good use of natural lighting here.

I like the second shot best. Looks like an interesting street to shoot.

Agree with this. I like the 2nd shot.

I like #2: same reason as per my previous comment regarding your submission here.

Why is Kansas' state motto (Ad aspera ad astra - through difficulties to the stars) on the wall?

Thanks! I have no idea, haha. That's downtown San Diego.
