Cute! I agree about the lighting though, bright sunshine and having the child face the sun equals harsh. The white balance seems off as well? He looks more/ yellow orangey than I know he would normally?

Those are some good captures, I would agree with the above they just seem a little flat.

cute kid. light is a little bright and flat.

I do not think the lighting is very flat on the last shot. But I agree, the first five or so seem pretty flat and harsh to me, as far as lighting goes.

Love the 5th shot! Great expression! I would crop more of the red shirt out.

Can you all explain when you say "flat"?

And as far as the orange/yellow comment, maybe it's the colors on your monitor, or maybe even mine? Does anyone else think his face is overly orange/yello?
