So I was once offered advice on here, that when taking portraits, keep a few sample photos on the camera in a seporate folder and open to view when needed, for ideas for posing and such. My question is, whenever I create a folder on the camera (using the 7D's create a folder option) I put the files on the card using a media reader, and when I put the card into the camera, it tells me "no images" Is there a trick or a secret word i need to say in mrder to make it work?
"Clatto Verata N... Necktie... Neckturn... Nickel... It's an "N" word, it's definitely an "N" word!"

Have you tried selecting the created folder before viewing?
I don't have my 7D handy with me so I don't know the exact functionality of the create/select folder thinger. I assume the original photos were taken with a 7D or in some jpeg format.

Perhaps to read a file the camera needs a file that it created, not one that you place on the card via drag and drop.

No they weren't created with the 7D, and i was hoping it would read a drag and drop, or see if there was a way to make it read it. Thank anyway =)

If you want to carry photo ideas, use a MP-3 player. You can carry quite a few JPEG images on a MP-3 player. The off brand MP-3 players are remarkably inexpensive at a discount electronics supplier such as Fry's Electronics.
The MP-3 players have other uses. They are tiny and weigh almost nothing at all.
I carry a Samsung MP-3 player when I shoot because the player has a voice record capability. I can record information regarding where and what I have shot.
I have toyed with using a notebook to record information but, in the heat of shooting, I often neglect to scribble down notes or my handwriting and/or abbreviations are illegible when I do take the notes.
Since my Samsung has 8 hours of recording time available, I can also actually record the information presented by any tour guide and then download that talk to my computer. I am investigating transferring the MP-3 files to Word documents electronically.
What would be great is if you could record audio information with your DSLR and have that information linked to specific images.

Thats actually a GREAT idea, thanks RP!
And yes, that would be great if the captured audio as well for that purpose!
