Hi, I actually am posting this for a friend...
He has an S1 and is not entirely happy with the built in flash. I understand there is no hot-shoe for a flash because it has a popup flash. He is wondering if anyone knows of a way to slave a flash to it? Is there *any* way of using an external flash that would slave to the camera?

Thanks,
zero

Wow! Thank you .. this was exactly what he needs. I read up about it around the web and sent him the links. Thank you so much. I had tried to find something on the Canon.com site but was unable to find mention of what he needed until you gave me the name!

thanks :D
