But you have inspired me to get that beauty they call the 10mm-22mm :-)
I daren't tell the Mrs i just bought a new lens, again.
Its being shipped from HK so hopefully i will have it next week, i can't wait.
Am i right in saying that the hood is the same as the one for the 17-40? I have that lens so hopefully that will say a few ££££
Also will a Hoya UV filter be ok, i heard you need really thin filters for this baby.
Thanks Rich

I have tried to delete this post since it was pointed out to me that the title may be misunderstood and i agree.
For some reason i can't seem to delete it , grrrr.
Anyway, just to clarify that i meant the title in humour and definately no malice.
Apologies to anyway who deems it inappropriate.
Sorry Rich, i hope your with your Notts humour you will understand what i meant.
i'll get my coat now.

I hope Richardthe Sane took your post the right way. I recognized it for what it was by the title. I often feel the same way about DanteKing :-)
By the way, congrats on the new lens.

Yes, death to the forum - in the nicest way possible.
We are all adults here! Well some of you.

Definitly need a sense of humour coming from Nottingham :)
Enjoy the lens Jonny. We musd get together sometime...
I have found that for a UV you don't need ultra slim filters, I see no vignetting with my non skinny hoya. But you WILL need a slim polariser if you use one :)

Yes, a cheap one will (and would you want to put a cheap polariser in front of a good lens?)
My expensive one does because it is not skinny one.

I might invest in one of these, call it retail therapy. My model (first one) that I was going to use tomorrow pulled out on me. Dissapointing, need to start hunting for a UK model again.

Yeah I mentioned a few times how I hate everyone in this forum. Lastly it was because of that 70-300 DO thing.
Buggers! :D

Yes this forum corrupted me to order a the 10-22mm too, but now after a million orders over the last year to BHphoto they want to confirm my order by me calling them...D*** them I really wanted this lens by the weekend!!!
I'm actually worried now I've ordered tons of gear from BHp and I've never had to call them? They must be serious they even sent me an email, D*** them for not being open 24-7 to call them. :p
