Wedding Photographer Prices £

Hi

I will be photographing a wedding on Saturday, and will be there for the whole day 10+ hours or so.

But as i have never photographed a wedding before i'm jsut wondering what i should charge the customer.

I will be giving them 2 wedding ablums 1 or the wedding and the 2nd of the evening party, plus a DVD slideshow.

So guys place your bids, how much would you charge. Im in the UK, so not in US $ please.

it depends on quality of pics, size, amount of pics, quality of album (few days ago I just saw an album that cost customers $3000, just an album)
so please be specific, but in average it would be $2000-3000 with 2 average ($300-700) albums may be 100-200 pics 4x6 or 5x7 and may be 5-10 8x10....
this is average guess without knowing any details

I have a friend who shoots weddings for extra income and he charges a flat fee of $1,000 up front to cover costs of hiring two assistants and hauling equipment and then $50.00 an hour for rehersal, showers, wedding and reception work plus a 250% markup for albums and printing materials.


The assistants are paid a flat fee of $250.00 each for wedding ceremony work and reception work is an additional $150.00.
