He's kinda cool looking... is that a Stork? Could you pick a harder bird? ;-) Black & white is sooo hard to capture properly. My only suggestion is (unless it's a close-up of preening) try to get more of the face... bonus points get awarded for a catchlight too.

nice pic i agree with the previous post maybe you could have got round more to one side and caught the face in profile

Nice shot :)
I'd also think about.. for a bird this tall.. shooting with your camera tilted 90*... and try not to lop off it's feet :)
