Edit helps in my opinion, but DOF doesn't cover both eyes and that's a spoiler for me....
Cheers,
Tony

DOF was inentional shooting with the 50mm. Is there anything in the edit that could be improved on. i have tought myself all my techniques, so any suggestions would be great!

To me the skin is just too smooth in the second. I'm not on a calibrated monitor but maybe you've gone too far in suppressing the reds and ended up almost too green with the skin. Overall the image is a bit flat.

no skin smoothing just worked the channels. the reds have been desaturated maybe just a bit.

Attractive model, but I'm trying to figure out when I look at it, what is that thing growing out of her check (her hand o-yeah), and is that her leg, or what? Looks odd.
Nice PP on her face though, I think that's done well.

I have to agree with the previous reviews, it's to pale and the cropping is too tight. There are no more details on the edges of the face. I think you need to add contrast and bring back the natural color of the face. A wider crop will make the eyes dance a bit more as well.

Too pale for my liking. Tones are so light that the nose almost blends into the left cheek. Chin almost fades into the chest. Upper lip is almost invisible. Also bothered by the very light eyebrows on a brunette. Doesn't look right. Not enough contrast, or something.

for some reason i think it's a bit over processed. i like the fact that the original looked more "real"

The original works for me, it being a good honest portrait.
