I was a little regret not to ask for suggestion before my trip last year. So hopefully i can get some good suggestion for this trip. I know some people may not care about this subject, but please try to help me. I'm going to do a roadtrip from San Francisco to LA to San diego with about 6 other people in 2-3 weeks.

So, I'm trying to ask for some outstanding places for pictures, and possible best time (so the lighting is good) for Landscape/or landscape+ppl pictures. I went to Supai last year, but without knowing the time for the best view, pictures comes out rather dull and not too meaningful. So if i can get some good suggest for the location and may be a good time of the day to visit, it'll be great. Thanks!

I'll probably bring my 11-16, 17-50, 50-150, 30, 85,1.4x, 430ex, tubes. Any thought in what not to bring? Because it's about 10lbs+ to carry and walk around, or i can try to take them all, any thought?

The Pier in Oceanside is nice at sunset.

The Flower Fields in Carlsbad is interesting.

I enjoyed Torrey Pines State Nature Reserve my last visit to San Diego, just north of UCSD. The cliffs are nice from both the beach, and the Top.

The San Diego Wildlife Park is good, for some great animal photos.

Have fun. That's a nice drive if you stay on #1, along the coast :-)

Great! Thanks for some good suggestion. I'll definitely look up the nature Reserve, and wildLife Park. Yea, i did the coast driving from SF to LA a few times, it's a wonderful drive, but i've never travel that far down to San Diego, really heart itching for some wonderful pictures.
