View Full Version : Boeing X-32B VTOL

While stationed at the Rock many years ago our flight was tasked with the recovery of the Boeing X-32B VTOL aircraft when it stopped for a visit (more of a IFE into Little Rock). Was strange for a Bunch of C-130 prop heads to mess with this Ugly little plane.

It's now on display in the Navel Air Station Patuxent River's, Naval Air Museum. The X-32A is on Display at the US Air Force Museum in Dayton. Only the 2 were ever produced..

God its ugly..

The gentleman who developed the lift fan in the winning LockMart F-35 described the Boeing effort as being named for a particularly notorious Washington DC intern under the Clinton administration...

they are pretty good to me... but looks like its easy to tell the small MP of it (pixelation) or its a resize issue.

That is ugly, almost looks like a modern Corsair II

Great pics though! Now if only we had pics of the YF-23 to go with it :)

The YF23 is beautiful. This one is cool looking, in some weird way, but the Black Widow is gorgeous, almost as gorgeous as the Raptor.
