Hey everyone,
This is my very first post in this forum. This is a picture I took recently after a snow/ice storm on the University of Oklahoma campus. I am very new to photography and this is from my first shooting session with my new DSLR.
Canon 50D with 50mm f/1.8 lens. Criticism welcome and I look forward to being a part of the forum.

I like it! The reflections in the icicles are neat.

Nice subject but the WB is way off.

Thanks, it was at night and this is a 2 second exposure. I'm thinking it needed to be a little longer maybe. The original picture is in RAW format so I tried changing the WB after taking the picture, but this one seemed best so I'm not sure.

What software do you use? CS3 is great for adjusting white balance and exposure in RAW. I have used the WB eyedropper to good effect.

Mitch:
I adjusted the WB in DPP, and I think it's a little better, but what do you think? You prob have a much better trained eye.

I just use the Canon software for now but I will keep that method in mind because I'll be getting Photoshop soon. I am in my last semester of school so I will be taking advantage of that student discount.
I'll be doing some astrophotography as well so I'll definitely need PS
