I was showing a co-worker some pics from my Memorial Day trip during a recent break, got some favorable comments and a suggestion to share here on the forum... pics were take with a 300D and 17-85 lens with CP...

One of the bridges we crossed on the hike in from the trailhead down to the shore...

On the shore...

Some driftwood on the shore. The shore was dotted with a bunch of small waterfalls dropping down to the shore and flowing under debris to the ocean...

Some redwoods on the hike back up to the car (I think I got the white balance wrong during PP)...

And finally another bridge amongst the redwoods on another nearby trail on another day on the same trip...

As always, all comments and suggestions very much appreciated!

Very nice. Redwoods are so difficult to photograph, but you did well.

Beautiful place, nice shots. You could probably use the woman's grey sweater to get your white balance closer on #4. See what you come up with...

Of the set, I like the 3rd & 4th best.

BTW - you ever seen the old Hy. 101 in Prairie Creek?

It's ever more cool than the old Hy. 101 near Damnation Creek trail.

I also learned a new trail in Prairie Creek, that I've never seen on a map before. Awesome. It's the Moorman Pond Trail. Short trail, but one of the best I've seen. Just look for the Moorman Grove sign. 1/2 mile in and 1/2 mile back. If someone was going to take a model into the redwoods, I think this would be one of the best spots. Not the same as the attached pic. The old highway is west of Drury Parkway back in the forest.
