I was out at a bird sanctuary today and there was an Eastern Kingfisher feeding her young ones but unforetuneately the nest was out in the middle of the water area. These are all taken with the 500 f4.0 with the 2.0 and 1.4 stacked. Not very sharp but what the heck.

The original

The crop, I like the dragonfly in her beak.

Found this one sitting and I got fairly close but it was in dimmer light so the shutter speed was down to 1/50th

Then she decided to give herself a little spin. I actually kind of like this one.

I'm bound and determined to master this lens with the stacked teleconverters.http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_confused.gif

This is actually a Kingbird you've got here. I've also been watching a Kingbird's nest lately and I can't believe the size of the dragonflies the babies can swallow!?!

Nice captures nonetheless! I like the "spin" shot too.
