Great shots! I am a long time honda lover. I drive a 2008 si and I am a little worried that honda is loosing their passion for true sports cars.

Honda and sports car should never go in the same sentence.... maybe the S2000. Nice shots though!

Haha coming from the guy with SVT in his username. Haha
You people are forgetting the 3rd gen prelude, competed with the corvette of the same time period. It was in car and driver magazine.
The shots look good. I always enjoy your work.

I own a Porsche but thanks for trying. My SVT Cobra and Lightning are for the drag strip.

Don't take it personal, i was just poking some fun. I'm sure your porsche does exactly what its meant to, as a sports car.

Note for next time, remove the screen Plastic (http://images4.fotop.net/albums4/yushin/hondacrz/IMG_2483.jpg) before you shoot, otherwise neat pictures!!!

Outstanding photos, guess Honda is trying to bring back memories of the CRX huh?

Im with SVTmaniac on this, the name Honda just doesnt bring visions of a sports car to mind. I have a 2 ton 4 door that will spank a lot of modern muscle on the road today, but I dont consider it a sports car

...yeah wow why would honda even possibly think they could come out with a "sports car" they know nothing about racing ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pdWlnLM8Rmw ) :)

i'm happy to see this car released...

great shots of the car.

Comparing an F1 car to anything Honda has on the road is just ridiculous. The NSX is a sports car but it's an Acura the S2000 is really the only car Honda makes that I would ever feel comfortable saying is a sports car.

Acura is to Honda what Lincoln and Mercury is to Ford.

Sure, the little 4-banger Honda's don't put up the horsepower numbers that your big displacement V8's do, but let's play with some numbers here real quick...

Your SVT Lightning off the lot (based on specs found online):
5.4 liter supercharged V8 with 380hp = 70hp per liter

Base model Honda Civic:
1.8 liter NA inline 4 with 140hp = 77hp per liter
That would give you 415hp if you could double the cylinders and bore it out to 5.4 liters, but it's still NA. Yeah, a bit of a stretch, I know.

How about the Honda S2000:
2.2 liter NA inline 4 with 237hp = 107hp per liter
Again, a stretch to say that this engine doubled and bored would give you 577hp, but boy does that 5.4 liter supercharged engine look a little weak.

Now, Honda does have a V8 engine, but it is currently being used in the IRL. For fun, let's run those numbers (based on published information):
3.5 liter NA V8 with 650hp = 185hp per liter!
Bore that sucker out to 5.4 liters and you're pusing 1000hp! Naturally Aspirated! Okay, yeah, it's a race engine so it's tough to put that in this comparison, but I thought the numbers looked good.

I'll get off my little soapbox now before somebody pushes me off.
Oh, and great pictures of the mythical CRZ. It's good to see that it's finally getting released after all the hype.

I'm not here to debate import vs. domestic that's been done a billion times. All I'm saying is I find it funny when someone mentions Honda Civic and sports car in the same sentence. It's an econo box family car and that's all it's meant to be. I never stated my Lightning or my Cobra or even my Infiniti M45 as being a sport car. My Porsche is a sports car from the ground up. As is the S2000 but for anyone to say a Civic is a sports car is just setting them self up for ridicule. Sure a Civic can be made to go fast but so can a Yugo with enough money. Doesn't change the fact that it's still a Yugo.

Oh and for the record I don't care if a Honda is putting out 800hp cause it's still got the torque curve of a riding lawn mower.
