Well, that's a really nice pic of your dog mate, nice colours and in focus, only thing is you might like to post it in the 'Animals' section........I think you might get a lot more feedback there!

Hmmm. A doggie glamour shot! :) I like the photo. Particulalrly the reflection is his(?) eyes. He looks deep in thought.

A great picture but, for my personal taste, the colour is way over saturated.

Excellent ironic humour ... that lolling tongue reminds me of some of the responses we get in this section to unclothed models.

Roger,
Is there a animals section? I thought this was the only one?

h46it i luv this shot! The puppy is perfect and a tiny tweek in photoshop and it can be excellent imho!
I hope you dont mind, just selected him with the pen tool, feather at 2, inversed, brought down saturation to -44, levels brought down to 0, 0.70, 255, color levels +9, 0, +7, hue/saturation(master) 0, -47, 0, inversed the selection again, to get just the doggy and bumped saturation up a tad to +7, inversed again and did a lens blur on just the back ground to draw focus to the puppy, oh yeah and inversed then yet again and did a touch of "smart sharpen" (its late i should sleeeeeeeep:P)

Learner,
I liked what you did. Makes my puppy look better! That's for sure. I did some PP on the orginal. But you did much more to make it that much better! I like it. But, i'm' not too sure what you mean when you inversed it? Are you just changing from puppy to the background? Let me know when you have time! Thanks again for the touch up on the pic! You got skills! :)

inversing a selection is when you select using any of the selection tools, such as quick mask, mask, polygon, pen, etc... and then changing the selection from what you currently have selected to everything that was not selected, to become the new current selection (omg i suck at explaining sorry:P) Ok so when I selected the puppy, I typed shift + ctrl + i to inverse (swap the selection) to select every thing but the puppy "the background" there are many ways to work with selections, but I normally go into channels, after or before I make the selections and create a new alpha channel (so i can revert back to the selections/masks as needed, for instance the puppy selection can be saved there and after i inverse, i then can save the background selections) so I can edit as needed. Also I use as much of the "adjustment layers" as I can, so I can go back and change as needed. I did not use the channels and save the alpha selections on your puppy, in this case. I just hit control + enter on the mask that I made when i created the adjustment layer for one of the adjustments, to reselect, then i created new layers and new adjustments. Ok, forgive me, i think that just sounded more confusing:P but I can send you the psd I worked on and you can check it out. I'm not at home presently, so when I get home, i will email it to you:)
