Tripod help please!!!

All I need is a stinking tripod but there is so many options and not a lot of funds to go towards this project so I was hoping for a little help.

My mom is purchasing this for me as a b-day gift so no more than $130ish. I literally will only probably use it for self-portraits of me with my family. I mainly shoot children; they move too much for tripod use.

Mostly use my XSi w/24-75 2.8 ... would like to upgrade to 5D and the brick within the year though so it would have to be able to handle that.

Any suggestions (other than get more $$) please!!

Oh, gosh, $130 only buys you junk for complete tripod+head. Get the Manfrotto 190 legs for about that, but then you need a head.
