These are cool! I like the colors you've converted the images to. The traditionalist in me would like the horizon to be horizontal, but you seem to have the technical aspects worked out. Good one.

thanks gandini I was hoping for your approval.I played around in ps for a couple of minutes removing the magenta casts and a few filters and got these results.I think I have a nice IR system now thanks for all your help.I think I"ll hold off on buying that G1 for a while.

Hi Astro,

I love the IR shots. Contrary to gandini, I like the first ones with the horizon not horizontal, best. They have such a cool, almost erie look to them. I will have to invest in an IR filter, too.

I have the hoya r72 IR filter.I bought it from lensmate in case you were wondering which filter I use.It takes a bit of pratice but I'll certainly share all I know with you.

Those shots look really cool. Do you have a shot of how the scene looks without the filter so I can get a gist of what it does exactly? I've always seen IR shots in black and white and was under the impression that that was the effect caused by the filter...
