Hey everyone,

I'm new to this forum and have a passion for cars. This weekend I will be going to Limerock in CT to see the Ferrari and Maserati Racing days. I will be bringing my Canon Rebel digi SLR and I was wondering what kind of suggestions you guys might have for me when capturing moving cars on a track? I'd really like to get some nice shots to show you guys when I come back! Thanks much!

Do you have any lenses for it? Are you just watching or are you a corner worker? Ever been there before? How close can you get? Ect... ;-)

Welcome to the forum. You will love it here, i do! This is the best photo forum ever!

Low exposure and higher ISO without being too noisy... I am not sure tho, i don't have a DSLR, i got the Pro1, and that does it for me, no blurry pics..just crisp and clear shots.

Thanks for the reccomendations! I'm very excited to finally shoot some cars at a track. I just got my new 6 gig compact flash microdrive for the event and I can't wait to see how many pics this thing can handle!!!

I have a sigma 300 mm lens, so I think I will have a sufficient zoom but I am not going to be able to get really up close.

Walk the track early to find the best places to shoot from. Take note of where the sun will be at different times of day, & plan when/where you'll shoot. Have fun!
