View Full Version : Battery Grip Serial Numbers

Anybody have any idea if the battery grips have serial numbers stamped or affixed anywhere on them. I've looked and looked and don't see anything... I am signining up for CPS, and need them. Can't find the boxes with the warranty cards, so I'm stuck there as well... Thanks in advance!

My BG-E2 has a serial number imprinted into the bottom of it next to the tripod socket.

My BG-E2 and BG-E2N did, my BG-E6 doesn't have one

found the BG-E7 on the bottom plate, but BG-E6 is not there.. You'd think they would be in the same place??

odd. is it a china knock off or genuine canon. there is your answer right there. canon serializes. the others dont. i'd have to check when i have a chance.
apparently not readily visible. maybe it's subdued black embossed.

my BG-E6 is genuine Canon and it has no serial on it.

Like the other members have mentioned, there is no serial number on the BGE6. I signed up for CPS without it.

My BG-E7 Battery Grip has a serial number of 020000xxxx stamped on the upper right corner of the bottom attachment plate with NO Canon markings on the outside -- they are on the top of the grip which mates with the bottom of the 7D (and therefore does not show when attached).

i wonder why about no canon markings on that grip also. is it to look like it is seemless like it was part of the camera?
